The par-71 East Course at Hershey Country Club opened in 1969.  With elevated greens, three lakes and more than 100 bunkers, the course stretches across 7,102 yards of natural hazards, rolling fairways, and daunting greens.  Designed by George Fazio, the East Course captured the natural beauty of central Pennsylvania’s countryside with views that golfers can appreciate on every hole.  With a rating of 74.5 and a slope of 136, the 2011 PGA Professional National Championship will not be the first time the East Course hosts a PGA tournament.  Most recently, it was home to the Nationwide Tour’s Reese’s Cup Classic from 1997 to 2004, an event on professional golf’s development tour.
